Multi-Engine Rating

Pre-Requisites

To be eligible for the rating (not to begin the course), you must possess:

• PPL(A)

• 70 hours as pilot in command

  
  

Privileges

• The MEP (land) permits the holder to operate multi-engine piston aeroplanes with wheeled landing gear.

The Course

The Multi Engine Piston (MEP) rating training course consists of at least:

• 7 hours of ground school

• 6 hours of flight training, including:

  • 3.5 hours of asymmetric flight training

• 1 theoretical exam

• Skills test
