Private Pilots Licence
Pre-Requisites
No need to worry about entry requirements for the PPL course, there are no aptitude tests so everyone has the chance to fly!
That said, it's a good idea to get an aviation medical certificate before you kick off the course. There are two types:
Class 1 - needed for commercial flying and licenses
Class 2 - needed for private flying and licenses
If you're thinking about flying commercially someday, go for the Class 1 medical first. It'll automatically become a Class 2 when it expires, so you won't have to worry about limiting your future options!
You can start learning to fly at any age, but you'll need to be 16 to fly solo and 17 to get your license.
Privileges
With a PPL(A), you can be the Pilot In Command (PIC) for non-commercial flights on planes or touring motor gliders (TMGs).
